My Process

Here’s How it Works…

Once you Submit your Contact Information, I will contact you to get things rolling. During that time you’ll get a Free Consultation to determine your needs. Then we’ll set up interviews with you or other individuals you choose that will provide information for your book.

The interviews are virtual, however, face to face interviews can be discussed and the pricing adjusted for travel and any necessary accommodations.

Interviews typically last an hour but can be broken up into 30 minute sessions if needed.

After each interview session I’ll review the conversation and notate any gaps or areas where clarification is needed. Those clarifying questions will be asked in a later interview session.

Interviews are the most important part of my process. Compilation is an important step as well. This is where stories and pertinent information is put in order to create a good flow. As I compile the information I will notate any gaps and obtain the needed information at a future interview.

After the first interview and during my Compilation process I begin writing the information in story form. This is where I take note of any gaps that need clarification.

Close attention to your personality and communication style is noted during our interviews to capture the voice of the storyteller.  

Printed photographs will be digitized and will in no way damage your originals. Digital photos are welcome. The photos will be located in your book or photo book wherever you prefer.

We will discuss the book cover design for both the front and back of the book. Generally, a photo is chosen to represent the book along with the title of your choice.

A professional editor will review the manuscript for proper flow and to check for any grammatical errors. I will make corrections if needed, format the manuscript for printing, and send it off for printing in book form. *Photo books are not edited by a professional editor.

Photos for the books are printed in black and white, however, color photo printing is available upon request with an additional cost per the printing company. Book size is also adjustable if desired and will affect the page count. The larger the book, the fewer pages there will be.

Photos for the photo books will be printed in the colors submitted unless otherwise requested.

Each package contains a certain number of hard cover books which can be adjusted upon request.

Partial payments are collected at various times throughout the process with the final payment being collected prior to the forwarding of the manuscript and/or photo alignment,  and printing of the books.

For those that want their books available on Amazon, an additional fee will be collected and the process begins. The manuscript will be formatted and identification numbers obtained per Amazon’s requirements.
